Prayer
Monday Focus: OCAC & Edify
Please pray for the fully recovery of Elder Philip S.
Tuesday Focus: Exalt - Worship/Exalt - Prayer/Energize
Praise God for the creation of this beautiful earth as we see the
signs of new life around us.
Attendance for our monthly prayer meeting has been declining these
past few months. We average 26 people at each meeting, with a goal
of 30 per meeting for 2008. Pray that we will not only meet, but
exceed this goal in the next year!
Wednesday Focus: Equip / Energize
Pray for a passion for reading the Bible.
Pray for the new Energize Deacon to have a vision to continue to
execute the goals of the ministry.
Thursday Focus: Evangelize (Local / International)
Pray for all the training that is currently taking place for
short-term missions trips in the summer. May God polish us to be
sharp arrows and equipped with His armour.
Friday Focus: Student Ministry & Children Ministry
SM - Pray for Sunday school teachers and adult helpers.
CM - New CM teachers and students will build good
relationships.
More kids to come to Club FrenzE on
May 10.
Saturday Focus: General Manager
Pray that the GM team would find good ways to share information.
Sunday Focus: Pastoral Cares
Pastor Daniel: Jesus said, “Smite the shepherd, and the sheep
shall be scattered” (Mark 14:27). Satan knows that if he can bring
down the man of God, the work of God will be severely hindered in
your city. Pray the armor of God over PD (Ephesians 6:10-18). Quote
Scriptures for his protection (Psalm 91; Luke 19:10; etc.). Pray
that no weapon formed against him would prosper (Isaiah 54:17), that
he would not be ignorant of the enemy’s devices, and that the enemy
would not gain advantage over him (II Corinthians 2:11).
Pastor Dave: Pray for strength and energy in the midst of a busy
month.
Cynthia (CMD): Effective teaching at a CEF Party Club on May 10.
Pray for the world
Lithuania: The Protestant church faces many challenges. Among
them are: 1) The traditional denominations (Lutheran, Reformed and
Orthodox) are largely associated with the shrinking ethnic
minorities, just struggling to maintain their numbers. B0 The
Baptists, Pentecostals and Adventists are the most established
evangelical groups in Lithuania, but are struggling to come out of a
Soviet-era time warp. The hyper-conservatism and defensiveness which
enabled them to survive the lean years are now barriers to their
growth. Pray that the leadership might see the need for forward
progress under the Spirit’s guidance.
