Effective Prayer (from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada)
An inseparable link exists between prayer and fruitful ministry, since it is through our prayers that God has chosen to unleash his power. There are seven ways to help you pray more effectively for Alliance missionaries.

M.K. Ho, Hong Kong
  1. Pray for the busy schedule next 2 month before his return to Canada end of June.
  2. He is teaching 3 classes on Wed, Thu and Friday mornings; an extension course every Tue nite at a Baptist church in Cheung Sha Wan. In addition, he has been teaching Sunday school at his brother's church, he also asked to be a reviewer of his student's M.Div. thesis.
  3. Pray for his health.
Lois Belsey, (Indonesia)
Praise the Lord, She finished translating the AIDS booklet in Moni. It needs some checking before the seminar in September.
  1. Pray for her communication system which always gives her problem.
  2. She came down with malaria after she had recovered from her upper back pain.. Please pray that the residual pain will soon be completely gone and that she will have good health.
Anne Stephens, (Congo)
  1. She is teaching at the Evening Bible School in Brazzaville. Please pray for the 15 students. Pray that God will give them the energy and strength that they need to finish well!
  2. Pray for the new couple who has just joined then: John and Caitlin Littleton and their 14 month old precious boy, pray for their adjustment and for finding a suitable apartment.
  3. Another missionary couple are leaving on 26th of May to go on home assignment. This will leave Barb, the Littletons and Anne until July. Pray that God will give them wisdom as they have to manage the affairs there.
  4. Pray for the General Assembly in Congo to be held this August. They will be electing a president, so please pray that a man after God's own heart will be elected.
Joe and Grace Chan, Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada
Praise the Lord for protecting and blessing then throughout their two- month trip to Asian countries. Please pray:
  1. For the critical need of a senior accountant in Wycliffe Calgary office.
  2. For their financial needs, they are now at 83% support level at 12 month average, but only at 21% in Feb and 52% in Mar.
